26. What popular notion do you think the world has most wrong?
This question has had me thinking for days. I looked up what some others have posted about this question and some I agree with. I think my answer would have to be: That good looking women are given everything without even asking.
I am not conceited in any way, but I do think I am pretty (at times) and I've been told it many times. Thank you Aaron :) For some reason though, people think life is so much easier for women with looks. I feel like it isn't. Who knows. People just assume you are given everything in life to you on a platter. This isn't true. I've worked my butt off my whole life.

Maybe I am not that OMG gorgeous type that they mean, but I feel that a lot of the time, people assume I am not so smart. I hate that. Yea, I have my duh moments, but who doesn't? I may not be super street smart, but I was incredibly book smart in school. People just think otherwise. I noticed it even more so when I had my hair very blonde. Nothing pisses me off more than those dumb blonde jokes. Sure, some are funny but seriously? I know more slutty and brain dead brunettes than blondes. Just sayin'.
Does anyone else believe this notion? I am curious at your opinions.

Although I don't think I am especially beautiful (though my husband tells me at least once a day that I am, and he is the one I want to impress!), I agree that beautiful people do not have it easy. If anything, it can be difficult to be taken seriously in job interviews, college classes, and some other situations.
I have experienced some of this myself, since I have been called "cute" (which is not always as much of a compliment as "beautiful", in my opinion) and people often think I am younger than I am. My supposed cuteness seems to give some people the impression that I am naive and inexperienced.
Can I chime in?
While I do not believe a beautiful has a perfect easy life, I do think that you are an attractive woman - & know it - your life is a tad bit better.
Sure my husband says I am beautiful, but I have low self esteem. I am constantly worried about being judged. I am always comparing myself to others, & sadly most times I come up short. I wonder if beautiful woman worry about how they look? Of being judged?
Hm... I think that, with shallower guys, a outwardly beautiful woman does get more perks. I mean, do the not as attractive girls have drinks purchased for them by guys in a bar? I don't think this is right and I definitely don't think that just because a woman is beautiful it means she doesn't have brains.
